Three young entrepreneurs stood at Hatirjheel Lake in 2024, watching plastic bags float past like ghosts. They’d seen this scene a thousand times before — in rivers, markets, streets across Dhaka.
But that day was different.
“Why doesn’t someone do something?” one asked.
“What if we’re that someone?” another replied.
Six months later, Sustorra was born.
Who We Are
Sustorra Limited is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where a group of innovative young entrepreneurs decided to stop complaining about plastic pollution and start solving it.
We manufacture biodegradable bags from 100% plant-based materials — shopping bags, garbage bags, packing bags, pet waste bags. Products that work as well as plastic but actually disappear when you’re done with them.
We’re not activists who became manufacturers. We’re manufacturers who refuse to look away.

My friend asked, "You have an MBA, you understand manufacturing- why wait for 'someone else'?" I quit three months later. Running Sustorra is harder than any corporate role. Longer hours. Greater pressure. No safety net. But when our first customer said parents bring children to see "the good bags" — worth it. We're profitable, growing, and making plastic obsolete.
